Weekly Construction Update 10/20/2023

TRAFFIC IMPACT AND DURATION:

Monday, October 23, through Friday, October 27, during the daytime hours of 6:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., the outermost northbound lane of U.S. 2/7 will be closed for independent utility work.

Motorists are strongly encouraged to use caution while driving through the work zone and pay close attention to signage as traffic patterns will change.

CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES:  

Next week, S.D. Ireland crews will be off-site.

During daytime hours, Vermont Gas Systems will be conducting independent utility work along the east side of U.S. 2/7 under a single-lane closure.

LOCATION: U.S. 2/7 in Colchester starting at the Winooski town line and continuing north for 1.05 miles to Sunderland Woods Road.

PROJECTED COMPLETION: Contract 1 Spring 2024, Contract 2 Summer 2026
